Fake Green Hotels – Beware Of Scams

It has come to my notice that numerous budget hotels in small towns are advertising themselves as locations for environmental friendly holidays. Well, I was of the opinion that such hotels would offer transportation through hybrid cars UK and would make use of solar heating and rain water harvesting to do good for the environment.

However, I discovered to my amusement that such hotels were advertising themselves as green hotels simply because they are painted green. I was amazed at the sheer hypocrisy of the management. They are trying to take advantage of the growing concern about our environment and were trying to earn some money in the process.

Another reason why they claimed that they were good for the environment was that their hotel did not have power for most of the day. According to them, this prevented wastage of electricity and was one reason why their success would automatically mean good for the world around us.

The spread of internet has helped people tackle such fraudulent accommodation options without any difficulty. All it takes is a single negative review for future travelers to stay away from such places. If you have had experiences with such hotels, make it a point to spread word so that others don’t fall for the silly and frivolous advertisement that these hotels put out.

The worst part is that one cannot take these organizations to the courts. If one complaints, the institutions can simply say that they believe they are good for the environment. Whether you agree or not is a matter of personal opinion.
