Photo Opportunities
Being able to take photos is fundamentally important to any traveller. This travel blog would be fairly bland if it was filled with text and no pictures. Without the ability to share the pictures from my travels, I would have to rely on my words doing the whole job for me. As it has been proven that human beings respond more effectively to text with images to aid description, it is essential for any travel writer to be armed with a good camera.

With digital technology now at a level where you can see the pot marks on a person’s skin from over 100 yards away, the range of cameras available for the traveller are wide and varied. Many well known brands and makers like Panasonic can offer a range of options that can provide an answer for the novice as well as the expert photographer.
The LUMIX camera is an excellent choice for the traveller. It can produce crystal clear images like the one above in even the most extreme environments. It is easy to use and very durable so if you’re afraid of breaking it easily, you can be rest assured that it is harder then you think. On my recent trip to the Philippines I was able to capture some stunning images with a LUMIX that I happened to pick up whilst I was out there. My phone camera has been a life saver in the past, but it just did not offer the range of options I needed to get the pictures I wanted. There was also the problem that I was constantly worrying about my phone being stolen whenever I took it out to take a picture. Now I worry about my camera being stolen, but that’s another story entirely.
The point of this post is to provide some guidance to anybody who’s due to go travelling in the near future. A decent and durable camera is something that I consider a travel essential. The images and videos attached to this post show just how much more vibrant and interesting the blog can be. It helps to bring the journey alive for the reader. A camera is sometimes more important to a traveller then a wallet. Do not leave home without one!
